Silent, stony, brave. Those three words stick out to mind as I gaze at this particular digital painting. First off, I love the texture you used in this piece. The fur, the metal on his armor, and his hair is amazing. One thing I don't quite like is the shadow over his eyes. It could've been done more effectively, but you did okay with that. All in all you did a great job with this. Beautiful lighting as well, I love the shadows and highlights. You really make this character feel alive. Brilliant work maestro. Beautiful, brilliant work. Have an awesome day.
You got some nice work in your gallery also. Like this, it's amazing. Like you said in tutorial, knowing when to stop is hard part, I usually end up overdoing every little detail This is good, not too much, not too little. Also colors are really realistic, something I've tried to work on... And apparently will have to keep on trying
WOW! Only five to six hours???! The textures you have going in this really makes it that much more authentic I think! The fur and the metal and the leather, they all look so good and you can tell them apart really easily.
He is just a spectacular piece of art the attention of detail in all his features and gear shocked me into silence and made me appreciate this I would like to take the time to say that this is a beautiful piece of work that in-cooperates the anatomy of a picture and the human body while drawing the art viewer in from the subtle keys you use to draw them in as well as the beauty and attention to the artwork. It is a magnificent piece of artwork and it certainly left me appreciating the time and effort you must of put into it more and more as I looked at it. It was actually the first picture I ever saw of yours and caused me in the end to explore around and fall in love with your style!
#The face (and the light hitting it), the hair, the fur are really well done (maybe the right eye, Rob's left, should be just a little highter?). The constrast between those elements, with blurred lines and the clothes and armory more sharper, gives the contrast between soft and hard material. It's a great painting!
#Beautiful work! Looks like a watercolour painting, especially with that background... your lighting's perfect as well, especially on the face. Looks very convincing. But as the critiquer below said, I do think the shadows below the eye could have been drawn better. As it is, it looks a bit like he's wearing a mask. :/ Other than that, I really like the detail you put in this piece, particularly in the armor and coat. Very well done. 4/5 Now, I've read A Game of Thrones already, but I can't seem to recall who this person is... really, every description in the book fits him, in my mind.. lol

Oh wow! It is quite a sort of minimalistic style yet with so much details! The painting style on this looks like it could be a concept art out of game of thrones itself and the folds and leather patterns look stunning! Absolutely amazing!
#wow you really made an excellent work, the details are simple great, the textures of the cloths are great, also excellent work about the lights and shadows, i think this is the most difficult buy did it great
Really amazing work, I love the way you painted it, the texture of the brushes you used makes it look like a traditional work The gradient of the background gives a very nice atmosphere, the highlights on his face, armor and weapons are amazing!
Goodness, the technique employed for that fur is impeccable - not a single wasted stroke, it seems, and you make it look so easy. Easily my favorite part about the image, but the rest is equally as enticing. Good job!
#wow this work looks pretty awesome, specially i like the small details i think this gives a more realistic and beautiful look, great work also in the shadows and lights and the global color also looks great
#The King in the North!! Really awesome work! The textures on the hair, and armor are fantastic. I like your painterly style. Thanks for also including the tutorial. It's always awesome to see an artist's process!
I really love all the details that you put into it, also liking your choice of colors. Now, I don't watch games of thrones so I can't compare the similarities between the painting and the original, but it looks wonderful for my naked eye!
I don't really watch the show, but I did use a reference image. I loved the armor and the design felt solid. It didn't feel weak or flimsy, or decorative. It felt like it was really there to protect his heart.
